Welcome!

Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Dr. Elisabeth M. Toth, and I'm a licensed chiropractor and holistic healer from Chicago, IL. I just opened my very first practice (yay!) in Niles, IL called the Holistic Chiropractic Center of Chicago (check out www.holisticchirochicago.com for more info!), and am insanely excited about being able to help my future patients leave my office feeling better than they did when they walked in.

I am currently certified in Webster Technique, RockTape Fascial Movement Taping (FMT), and am a MCKS Basic Pranic Healing® practitioner. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Movement Science, and graduated from National University of Health Sciences in 2018 with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. I'm currently a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Illinois Chiropractic Society, and International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

My treatment philosophy is to treat my patients as a whole rather than just a list of symptoms, and I firmly believe in the mind-body-spirit connection. I love combining my specialties in chiropractic, nutrition, botanicals, functional medicine, yoga, and holistic preventative care to help my patients reach their health goals and feel their very best. I practice under the belief that the body has the innate ability to heal itself, and my job as a doctor is to assist my patients in removing the obstacles to health, as well as to educate and empower them to take a role in owning and managing their own health.

Education is my favorite part of my job, which is one of the many reasons I started this blog...to cultivate the understanding that living in good health encompasses so much more than just going to the doctor for our annual check-up and taking our daily multivitamin (not that they're not important, they're just not the be-all end-all of good health); it's about taking care of ourselves physically/mentally/emotionally, and realizing that everything is good in moderation.

When I'm not in the office, I teach Yoga Sculpt, Hot Power Fusion, Rider, and C1 at the CorePower Yoga Suburban Chicago studios. I'm also a certified lifeguard instructor and train both new and returning lifeguards for the Glenview Park District’s three aquatic facilities, and one of my many passions is educating the public on drowning prevention. I speak German, love to travel, and dance on the weekends with a German folk dance group in Des Plaines, IL. In my free time, I LOVE reading, cooking, and spoiling my beagle Gabi.
